The 2014 BGRI Women in Triticum Award Ceremony

The WIT Early Career Award was established in 2010 and provides professional development opportunities for women working in wheat during the early stages of their career.​ The award is named after Jeanie Borlaug Laube, mentor to many, and daughter of Nobel Laureate Dr.​ Norman E.​ Borlaug.​ Jeanie Borlaug Laube has served as Chair of the Borlaug Global Rust Initiative since October 2009.​  Shown here are awardees Banchgize Getie Temesgen, Sarah Battenfield, Anna Berlin, Naeela Qureshi, and Chhavi Tiwari receiving the award at the BGRI 2014 Techical Workshop in Obregon, Mexico.
