| 8th International Wheat Conference and BGRI 2010 Technical Workshop | ||
| The 2010 BGRI Workshop will occur 30-31 May 2010 in conjunction with the 8th International Wheat Conference (1-4 June) in historical St. Petersburg. The city hosts the world-famous N.I. Vavilov Research Institute of Plant Industry (VIR), which is among the main 8IWC organizers. | ||
| The conferences will take place in the modern Congress Hall of the Holiday Inn Hotel, conveniently located near the center of the city and all of its attractions.The VIR's partners for holding the conference in St. Petersburg are Russian companies FarEXPO (professional exhibition and congress organizer) and travel agency BGS-tour, who are responsible for hotel accommodation, visa support, and other logistics during the conference. | ||
| Prior to the 8th International Wheat Conference (May 30-31, 2010) the Borlaug Global Rust Initiative Technical Workshop will take place. | ||

| HOTEL INFO: The participants of the conferences will stay at the Holiday Inn (Moskovsky pr., 97 A, St. Petersburg, 196084, Russia). The price of a single room is 120 Euro per night and 134 Euro for double room including breakfast and all the taxes. Please submit the Hotel Booking Form for reservation. | ||
| ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE TRANSFERS: All participants of the conference and accompanying persons will be met at St. Petersburg airports Pulkovo I and Pulkovo II or at the railway stations and transferred to hotels. Departure transfers will also be available for the above mentioned persons. Please provide your travel details when you register in order to facilitate the organization of the airport and railway arrival/departure transfers. | ||
| VISA: Foreign participants may be required a visa in order to visit the Russian Federation. The visa processing depends on your citizenship and country of residence. However, the visa should be obtained one month before you enter the Russian Federation. The travel agency BGS Tour will provide every participant and accompanying person with an invitation letter and information needed for visa processing at Russian Consulate offices after receiving a visa request form and scanned copy of passport main page. The cost of the invitation letter is included in the Registration Fee and therefore the visa support will only be provided to registered participants. An original of the invitation letter can be sent, if requested. In this case all delivery charges should be covered by the participant. | CANCELLATION POLICY: The travel agency «BGS-tour» guarantees the reservation of the hotel rooms on the assumption of full payment of booked services.Notification of cancellation of registration fee and hotel accommodation must be sent in writing to the Local Secretariat by e-mail 8iwc@vir.nw.ru and to travel agency «BGS-tour» by e-mail sale@orticon.com. | ||
| Registration Fee: For cancellation received before April 30, 2010, full price of registration fee will be refunded. For cancellation received from April 30 till May 17, 50% of registration fee will be charged. | ||
| For cancellation received after May 17, no refund will be given and full payment is required. | ||
| Hotel Accommodation: For cancellations received 3 days before arrival, full price of registration fee will be refunded. For cancellations received less than 3 days before arrival, no refund will be provided. | ||

| The number of places to attend the post conference tour is limited to 40 scientists and the places will be allocated to the first 40 registered participants The post-conference tour price should be paid while registering for the 8th International Wheat Conference. | ||
| The Hotel Intourist price is not included in the registration fee and can be paid upon arrival. The price for a single room is $50-70 and for double room $80-120 per night including tax and breakfast. The participants are advice to communicate to the tour organizers for hotel reservation at ukniishs@mail.ru or knish@kniish.ru. | ||

Please, note that no hotel will be book for you in St. Petersburg for the night 08/09 June 2010.
